Galaxy Digital files prospectus with SEC for bitcoin ETF

Galaxy Digital Funds has just filed a preliminary prospectus with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission to launch Galaxy Bitcoin ETF.Per the prospectus, "the investment objective is to reflect the performance of the Bloomberg Galaxy bitcoin index, less the trust's expenses and other liabilities. In seeking to achieve its investment objective, the trust will hold bitcoin and will value its shares daily based on the value of the index."It continues to state that: "the trust provides direct exposure to bitcoin. The shares are valued on a daily basis based on data from bitcoin pricing sources."The Galaxy Bitcoin ETF is the ninth exchange traded fund that has been filed so far, and it plans to trade on the New York Stock Exchange.The news comes out as bitcoin (BTC-USD) has popped over the $60,000 mark and is looking to retouch its all-time highs.BTC-USD is currently trading on the day +1.32% and is +3.01% for the month of April.MicroStrategy's
