Slow Ventures' Jill Gunter: Cryptocurrencies now being treated as 'inevitable'

"What's important to keep an eye on is the fact that everyone in the market ... are behaving as though crypto is an eventuality that is inevitable," she told CNBC. "That's a marked change from other bear market cycles that we've been through," she added. "It wasn't an inevitability then like it is now." Gunter referred to the recent volatility in the price of Bitcoin (BTC-USD) and other cryptocurrencies as "just the stage of adoption that we're at." The Slow Ventures partner, who previously went by the name Jill Carlson, acknowledged that regulatory concerns weighed on the crypto market, especially the recent crackdowns in China.
